Junior CADD Operator – Newtown, PA

Summary:
The position would entail assisting in the preparation of basic engineering drawings and base maps used in civil engineering projects that may include highway, bridge, utility, right-of-way, and site development components.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
– Correlating, interpreting, and performing basic calculations from data obtained from topographical surveys and site reports.
– Assisting in drafting plans and detailed drawings for structures, construction projects, or engineering studies in areas such as highways, bridges, and site developments working from sketches or notes.
– Assisting in drawing maps, diagrams, and profiles using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations, and structures.
– Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods.

Required Skills/Experience:
– Experience with MicroStation (V8) and/or AutoCAD (v.2017)
– High School Diploma. Technical school, college level drafting courses, or equivalent work experience a plus
– Ability to work in a team environment to reach mutual goals
– Good oral and written communication skill
– Good time management skills
– Proficient in MS Office
– Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft WORD and EXCEL

Office Assistant – Lemoyne, PA

Summary:
Key skills to this position are excellent communication skills (written and oral), the ability to meet tight deadlines, and being detail oriented.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
– Perform administrative support tasks such as typing, proofreading, mass mailings, copying, data entry, and other tasks
– Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software
– Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries
– Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, FED EX, UPS or facsimile machine

Required Skills/Experience:
– Ability to work within a group environment, as well as independently, to reach mutual goals.

Engineer/Bridge Inspection Team Leader – Phillipsburg, NJ

Summary:
Senior level position for an individual with extensive experience in inspecting bridges and similar structures using engineering skills to determine structural soundness and compliance with NBIS, and other local, state and federal regulations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
– Responsible to plan inspections and lead inspection teams.
– Inspect bridges as required for structural integrity, general safety and continued conformance to specifications and codes.
– Provide training to Bridge Inspectors and Junior Bridge Inspectors.
– Prepare recommendations for maintenance and repairs to bridges.
– Review and interpret construction plans and blueprints for use in bridge inspections.
– Prepare inspection reports completely for final review by Project Manager.
– Perform Load Ratings to determine Safe Load Capacity and Posting Level for structures inspected utilizing the Load and Resistance Factor (LRFD), Load Factor (LFD), and Allowable Stress (ASD) Design Methodologies.- Use inspection equipment, including but not limited to; metering devices, tape measures, calipers, ladders, cameras, probing rods, etc.
– If qualified, function as diver or a tender in performing underwater inspection of appropriate areas of the structures.

Required Skills/Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
– EIT certification (or ability to obtain such) preferred
– A desire to work both outside (during all types of weather) and in the office (preparing reports).
– The ability to navigate in and around bridge structures and may require climbing, wading in the waterways, working from a boat, and working in and around traffic.
– Willingness to travel within PA, NJ and DE.
– Ability to work in a team environment to reach mutual goals.
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
– Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
– Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD software is a plus
– Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license

Summary:
Entry-level position for the inspection and evaluation of bridges and similar structures using engineering knowledge and skills to determine structural condition in compliance with NBIS, local, state, and federal regulations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
– Assist in the inspection of bridges and foundations as required for structural integrity, general safety, and continued conformance to specifications and codes.
– Assist in writing draft reports for review by Team Leaders.
– Assist in the preparation of recommendations, including quantities and costs for repairs to bridges for review by the Inspection Team Leader.
– Assist in the use of inspection equipment, including but not limited to: metering devices, tape measures, calipers, ladders, cameras, probing rods, etc.
– Review and interpret plans, blueprints, and site layouts to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulations.
