44 On-System and 1 Off-System State-Owned Bridges, Two Cycles
Client: NJDOT, Bureau of Structural Engineering
Location: Statewide, NJ
Type/Size: Routine NBIS and Underwater Inspections, Load Ratings, and Reports
Services: Bridge Inspection
This project included the NBIS inspection of 45 State-Owned Bridges for NJDOT. The project included the inspection of several large structures on high ADT highways, such as Interstate 295. Structure types included welded steel plate girders, riveted plate through girders, girder floorbeam systems, prestressed concrete box beams, and concrete slabs. Many of the structures required an underwater inspection, which were all performed in-house. PCS utilized bucket trucks to gain access to reach critical areas. Several of the structures in the project were over a railroad and included coordination with Conrail and NJ Transit railroads. Reports of our findings were prepared and submitted to the Department.
