Inspection of 142 State-Owned Overhead Sign Structures
Client: NJDOT, Bureau of Structural Engineering
Location: Statewide, NJ
Type/Size: Routine Cantilever and Overhead Sign Inspections and Reports
Services: Sign Inspection
This project included the inspection of 142 State-Owned Cantilever and Overhead Sign Structures over a two year period for one cycle. An in-depth inspection was performed on all sign structures and supplemented by non-destructive testing. All of the sign structures required lane closures on high traffic volume roadways including Interstates 76, 295, and 676; NJ Routes 38, 45, 49, and 55; and US Routes 30 and 130. To reduce disruption of traffic, many of the inspections were conducted on weekends and at night. Technical reports with our findings were prepared via CombIS and submitted to the Department. PCS ensured the highest level of safety for both the traveling public and our inspection teams.
